This policy explains what personal information First Diagnostic collects, why, and what we do with it.

What we collect

• Contact details, your name and email address, so we can reply to you.
• Vehicle & diagnostic information, the fault codes, symptoms, vehicle details and history you choose to send us.
• Order information, what you bought and when. Card payments are processed by Shopify Payments / our payment provider; we do not see or store your full card details.

Why we use it

To provide the diagnosis or call you've requested, to reply to enquiries, to take payment, and to keep records required for tax and accounting. Our lawful bases are performance of a contract with you and our legitimate interest in running the service.

Sharing

We share data only with the providers that make the service work, for example Shopify (store and checkout) and our payment provider. We do not sell your personal information.

Retention

We keep diagnostic correspondence and order records only as long as needed to provide the service and meet legal obligations, then delete them.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal data, or to restrict how we use it. To make a request, email support@firstdiagnostic.net. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
