Terms of Service
The service
First Diagnostic provides remote, advisory car-diagnostic help. Based on the fault codes, symptoms and information you provide, a professional mechanic gives their assessment of likely causes and suggested next steps. It is guidance to inform your decisions, not a guarantee of a specific outcome, and not a substitute for a hands-on inspection where one is needed.
Safety-critical work
Always have safety-critical systems, including brakes, steering, suspension, airbags and fuel systems, confirmed and carried out by a qualified in-person mechanic. Do not rely solely on remote advice for these.
Your information
You agree that the details you send us (codes, symptoms, vehicle information) are accurate to the best of your knowledge. The quality of the diagnosis depends on the accuracy and completeness of what you provide.
Payment & delivery
Prices are shown on each service. Payment is taken at checkout through Shopify. After payment we contact you by email to gather details or confirm a call slot. Voice calls are offered Monday–Friday, 11:00–20:00, one 30-minute call per hour; your chosen time is a request we confirm by email.
Membership
Membership, where offered, provides priority responses and a discounted member rate. Billing arrangements are confirmed with you directly; you can cancel at any time by emailing us.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, First Diagnostic is not liable for costs arising from repairs, parts, or decisions taken on the basis of advisory guidance. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under law, including your statutory consumer rights.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
